Striding Edge
We weren't expecting any snow so were somewhat unprepared for the wet drifts coating the slabs of the ridge. Craig, Neil, Prosser and I made it to the notch below the final summit ascent before calling it a day.

A fun week of piste skiing, jumps, boxes, steep moguls and a brief attempt at snowboarding towards the end.
We swam into Coire an t-Sneachda and quickly decided that climbing wasn't on today. Making the most of the winter conditions we hiked up to the skyline and nipped along Fiacaill Ridge to the plateau.
Will and I were a little slow on the powdery walk-in and arrived at the base of the corrie to a small queue of people below our route. We changed objectives and I led off up Original Summer Route (maybe the variation start. maybe not). We ran out the route as two long, stiff pitches with plenty of steep hooking and digging needed to find the route. Will recovered from a small mishap on P1 to put in a stellar lead through the steep, final corners to the summit.
Our final outing of the week and Cat and I were the only ones to make it up to the summit ridge of Liathach. A fun and atmospheric scramble which was made easier by the very lean conditions on top.
