Queenstown MTB
Queenstown is stuffed with people trying to sell you adventures. Erinna and I caught the gondola up the hill a few times for some mountain biking. Turned out to be much more downhill than we were expecting!

Inaccurate forecasts turned our planned climbing trip into a weekend of wet ascents in the Carneddau. Never mind!
Quite a contrast to Saturday, a rainy ascent of Schafberg as far as the Schafbergalpe Bahnhof. Very wet.
A wet, overcast day with Cat & Louise - perfect weather for a lap of the Rauris langlaufen circuit on the recommendation of Matt+Anja.
I learnt to lead at Goblin Coombe many years ago and so returning to introduce Erinna to outdoor climbing was quite a memory trip. We had the opportunity to climb so long forgotten routes on the far right for the first time in decades thanks to the excellent cleaning work of a few local individuals.
Poor visibility and high winds enveloped much of North Wales for the weekend. I took Julie, Lina and Rory on their first trip over Crib Goch, followed by a traverse of the Nantlle Ridge on the Sunday. Given their lack of scrambling experience and fear of the exposure they handled the damp rock very well!
