The Warm Breeze of Bosigran

The original plan was to drive to Skye, but the lure of warm Cornish granite found us quickly down on the south coast (the screws and axes stayed in the car). We spent the day at Bosigran working through some of the lower grade classics including the brilliant Doorpost and Anvil Chorus.

The Watkin Path

There are many ways up Snowdon. I've climbed or walked almost all of them, but never the Watkin Path. Until today that was!

Tremadog, Wales

Tremadog Intro

Despite forcasts of heavy showers and thunder, the whole of Snowdonia was bathed in sunshine today. Myself and Clay gave Erinna an introduction to multi-pitch trad climbing at Tremadog, and then finished with a couple of the more interesting VS routes before heading back to PyB for the BMC AGM.

Trollheimen Snota

Starting from Rindal, myself and Adam hitched up the road towards Gråsjøen and then set off towards Snota. Snow conditions underfoot were hard going at times and perhaps more suitable for ski touring. Undeterred, we summitted and spent our second night down near Vassdalsvatnet before walking out to Rindal for the flight home. Stunningly unspoilt scenery and endless mountains to climb, a brilliant weekend.

Tromsø, Norway

Tromsø Dog Sledding

Two nights in the hills north of Tromsø, gliding gracefully across the snow with a small team of huskies. After darkness fell in the early afternoon, we drove on into the night to establish a camp, feed the dogs, light a fire and look out on the night sky for the elusive Northern Lights.

Gower, South Wales

Two days in Gower

Despite the variable weather, myself and Ross ticked some of the classic routes in the Gower at Fall Bay Buttress on the Saturday including Osiris, Isis and South West Diedre. On the Sunday we were joined by Owen and headed to the sands of Three Cliffs Bay for some sunnier and sandier trad.
