North Wales with Ben
A weekend camping and climbing with my cousin Ben. His first proper climb outdoors on Idwal Slabs, and a rather wet scramble on Tryfan to follow the day after.

After a morning spent grovelling up chimneys at Church Bowl, Andrew and I went for a beer in the meadow with the Croatians and then headed to Manure Pile Buttress for an evening ascent of Nutcracker. We topped out to the beautiful light of sunset filling the valley below.
Three days in Chamonix learning the skills need to negotiate steeper ski descents and powder, including one particularly memorable day in Courmayeur swimming through the trees in powder (pow pow).
Myself, Simon and Matt set off from Oldcastle for 2 days of backpacking across Offa's Dyke. Up on top, the rain and wind so horrendous that we abandoned our plans, and after 20km+ along the Welsh-English border we were back in the car and off to the pub. It was so wet, we didn't take a single photo.
A nice weekend out in North Wales with Erinna to give her a proper go at some long multi-pitch trad routes. We spent Saturday on Idwal Slabs, followed by an entertaining evening lecture at Plas y Brenin and a Sunday morning on Milestone Buttress.
