In between an off-piste ski training course with BASS Chamonix there was opportunity to spend time exploring the other pisted areas in the valley, including a run down the icy hard slope behind the GM lift.
The rain was falling hard as we struggled to extract the car from the muddy field. By the time we reached Raven Crag the route was pouring with water which made for an entertaining day's climbing.
Two nights in the hills north of Tromsø, gliding gracefully across the snow with a small team of huskies. After darkness fell in the early afternoon, we drove on into the night to establish a camp, feed the dogs, light a fire and look out on the night sky for the elusive Northern Lights.
As an intro to mountain scrambling, I took Julie, Lina and Rory on two of the classic Snowdonia days out. Saturday was the Crib Lem Spur to Carnedd Dafydd, accompanied by a puppy who decided that farm life was boring and wanted a day out! On Sunday we climbed Tryfan's north ridge in fantastic mid-season sunshine with just a sprinkling of summit snow.
My first ever film premiere, walking up the red carpet with Leo & Al (sort of) in Leicester Square for the latest Berghaus film premiere. It was a brilliant film, climbed and shot in some brutally cold conditions, highly recommended if you get a chance to see it!
